Authors: Renz Yvan S. Avizola, Jonrique F. Cueto, and Garry M. Cahibaybayan

Abstract: The programmable logic controller trainer (PLC) was designed to develop a training device that will be used by students and the instructors of Electrical Technology. The system was installed with a push buttons, toggle switch (inputs), relays, mini conveyor prototype (outputs) to demonstrate the program that is written in the PLC. A power supply having 24V DC output is used for the supply of the PLC. A cellphone charger having 5V DC output is used for the supply of the prototype mini conveyor and 220V AC is used for the supply of the indicator lights. The conveyor uses a 5V DC-7.5V DC dynamo motor. The programmable logic controller trainer (PLC) is composed of: circuit breaker, extension outlet, power supply, charger, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), relays, toggle switch, push buttons, indicator lights, prototype mini conveyor wires. The components are mounted on a frame made of 1/2 size ply wood supported by 1/4 size angle bar frame. The ply wood are fastened on the on the angle bar frame by wood screws. The components are fixed on the ply wood. The prototype mini conveyor is not fix on the trainer so that it can be easily detached on the trainer for demonstrations. The conveyor and indicator lights are connected in the relays they will operate depends in the operations of the relay.
