Abstract: The available car in the Department of Engineering and Technology, in the automotive shop was successfully installed with the security features as follows; parking sensors, power lock, car alarm system, dash camera, rearview camera, rearview monitor and GPS/GSM shield. The study focused on the security features of the vehicle, and the way these features maximized the security of the vehicle. The improvement of the security features of the light driving vehicle was constructed following different methods and strategies. These methods include: canvassing and purchasing the security features, installing the car alarm system, power lock, parking sensors, rearview camera, and rearview monitor. The researchers programmed the microcontroller Genuino Uno with its function that, when the microcontroller was triggered, it would send the coordinates of the location of the microcontroller. Then it was installed as the last part of the security features in the light driving vehicle. The study also helped the instructor, and electronics and automotive students, as well to learn the installation of the security features in the light driving vehicle. The user manual of the design project will serve as a guide to further enhance the knowledge and skills of the current and upcoming electronics and automotive students. The design project costs a total amount of P25, 045.00.
