Assessment on the Conformance of Facilities Based on the Needs of Persons with Disabilities at Cavite State University System

Abstract: PWDs are accessing different facilities, and it must be accessible as it is stated in the law that “the State shall ensure the attainment of a barrier-free environment that will enable disabled persons to have access in public and private buildings and establishments and such other places” mentioned in Republic Act no. 344, also known as the “Accessibility Law”. The main purpose of this study was to assess if the facilities of the Cavite State University conforms to the needs of persons with disabilities that would access the facilities. The researchers used assessment and evaluation forms adapted from Accessibility Law of the Philippines. As a result, Silang campus got the highest compliance of accessibility. The evaluation of the recommended facility resulted positively to be a great help to PWDs.
