Abstract: Generally the study focused on the development of automatic transmission instructional trainer. Specifically it aimed to design and construct a automatic transmission mock-up and provide instructional model for the automatic transmission instructional trainer. The study was conducted at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite and at Carasuchi Indang Cavite from August 2015 to October 2016. The project design was useful and effective to gather more knowledge for the future students and make it efficient to learn the idea on how this transmission type works and what types of gear are used. The project aimed to study the different mechanism and techniques of the transmission and how it operates as well as diagnose and trouble shoot the transmission. The design project has three major assemblies, namely; (1) fabricated transmission assembly, (2) transmission frame, and (3) disassemble transmission parts. The instructional trainer is fully operational for instruction. The total cost of the project was Php 27,919. The front drive transmission was installed with components of the second transmission disassemble to easily familiarize all the parts. The dashboard and other switches are installed so the student could easily understood and experience the real function of transmission. The transmission parts and wiring system are complete so that the students would have a diagram of the unit.
