Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the health and safety concerns of the inmates at Cavite Provincial Jail. Specifically, this study attempted to: (a) identify the demographic profile of the inmates; (b) determine the health and safety condition of the inmates in Cavite Provincial Jail; and (c) identify any inadequacies in the jail management’s health and safety measures. By taking into account, the demographical data and the inmates’ concerns in safety and health, the study determined that infrastructure, activities, health and sanitation, and safety and security were the prison environment concerns of the inmates of Cavite Provincial Jail. Moreover, this study identified the inadequacies of the jail management – sleeping and hygienic concerns, counseling services, food and water services, sanitation, medical check-ups and health actions, insufficient staff, groups or gangs including fights, and security.
